The Kumar family had been in the business of consumer appliances dating back before 1975.
Maharaja whiteline was started by Mr.Harish Kumar in 1976 at the precocious age of 19 with the support of his wife Ms. Anita Kumar.
The company was famous for its innovative three jar mixer grinder eventually becoming one of the largest home appliances in that time period. Many households fondly remember it's legacy recalling the jingle one-two-three Maharaja Mixer.
Mr. Harish Kumar & Mrs. Anita Kumar entered into a joint venture with Groupe Seb France in 2011 and eventually their total stake in Maharaja Whiteline was sold to Groupe Seb which currently owns Maharaja Whiteline in entirety.
They are also famous for being joint partners in Electrolux Kelvinator where Mr. Harish Kumar served Vice Chairman
Maxstar, launched in 2018, continues the legacy started by the Kumar family over 50 years ago, with the aim of making high-performance, premium-quality home appliances available to Indian consumers as well as consumers throughout the globe.
